Editorial Production Assistant (Full-time, Part-time)

European Open Science is a UK based open access publisher committed to advancing scholarly communication through a portfolio of peer reviewed academic journals. We’re expanding our editorial production team and are looking for a motivated professional to help us deliver high quality publications.

What you’ll do

• Author, reviewer & editor liaison: craft clear, courteous email correspondence and provide timely updates throughout the publication workflow.
• Document production: manage manuscripts through the editorial workflow—submission checking, copyediting, proofreading, layout, and final production.
• Quality control: enforce style guidelines, spot inconsistencies, and ensure every article meets our publication standards.
• Qualifications
• Manuscript handling: review submissions for completeness and compliance, coordinate peer review, and track revisions.

What you bring

• Excellent written English and confident, professional communication skills.
• Hands on experience with MS Word and Outlook ; familiarity with templates, track changes, and reference managers.
• Keen attention to detail and a passion for accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a distributed team.
• Results oriented mindset and willingness to learn new platforms and workflows.
• Desirable extras: academic background and/or hands on experience in scholarly publishing (submission systems, peer review coordination, copyediting, or proofreading).
